Capcom Looking to Combat Trolls in Monster Hunter World

There has been a player issue in Monster Hunter World, in which co-op players are trolling others. This takes place after a monster battle, in which players would usually collect loot from a monster’s corpse through ‘carving,’ which would normally be a simple process. However, players are reporting that some teammates are using stuns and attacks to prevent them from carving the monster, therefore preventing them from collecting any loot.

This has sadly become quite a common occurrence within the game, and there has been a certain set of methods suggested to combat it. One of these is to turn off your console and turning it back on again, which would allow the player to go back to the corpse and grab the loot. Another method is to use the Rocksteady Mantle to stop players from flinching. If neither of these work, you could kick the other players out if you are a party leader.

It is to be expected that players are going to clash, given the nature of the game. Yet the trolling is something that persists throughout, even if innocent players are taking extra measures to make sure that they are aware of being surrounded by other players, something that is an important part of Monster Hunter.

It remains to be seen what Capcom plan to do to combat the trolls, though they have assured fans that they are aware of it.
