Bridge Constructor Portal Now Available On Consoles

Gaming crossovers can be an interesting and sometimes vexing thing. Because for every Super Smash Bros, there’s a Mortal Kombat Meets DC Universe. Or, for every meaningful crossover like Heroes of the Storm, you also get DLC packs like The Sims 4 in Final Fantasy XV…yeah, let’s move on. Point is, sometimes the crossover you get in video games aren’t what you expect, however, that doesn’t mean they can’t be enjoyable if you give them the chance. Case and point, Bridge Constructor Portal.

This title brings together the beloved franchises of Bridge Constructor and the Portal series into a single title that honestly does fuse the franchises very well. In the game, you’ll be playing a new employee at Aperture Science Enrichment Center, and be tasked with completing puzzles by building bridges. Sounds easy, right? Well…it’s not. For not only do you have to build bridges, you have to make sure they can hold the weight of people and vehicles crossing them, and making sure they aren’t killed in various traps and obstacles in your way.

Bridge Constructor Portal

Oh yeah, Bridge Constructor Portal gives you plenty of ways to die. There’s acid, pitfalls, lasers, turrets, and so many other creative ways to die. But take heart, every one of the 65 puzzles has a solution, you just need to make sure you can find it in time.

Now, if you’re wondering, “Where does Portal fit into all of this?” It’s quite simple, Aperture is the company that is in Portal, what’s more, GLaDOS is back, and she’s your “guide” through the levels. And finally, but most importantly, there are plenty of portals for you to use in the levels. Granted, you can’t place them like you do in the Portal games, but, they are there, and they work the same way.

The game launched on PC last year to great success, and now, it’s available on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Go try it out!
