Fans Make Dragon Ball FighterZ Arcade Machine

Fighting games are a genre of gaming that has not only lots of potential, but lots of marketing value. Why? Well, because of its simplistic gameplay, it can be made into not only console, handheld, and PC games, but also, arcade machines. In fact, many major fighting game franchises embrace the idea of making their titles into arcade machines to build up the hype for their title. Street Fighter, Tekken, Pokken Tournament, all have done it. Yet, Bandai Namco didn’t do it with Dragon Ball FighterZ, and fans aren’t amused.

After all, the game was hyped from the moment it showed up, and it most definitely felt like a stylish arcade game, so why not make it one? Well, since they didn’t, fans decided to do it for them. In Colorado, at the Akihabara Arcade, the owners decided to take it upon themselves to make an arcade cabinet featuring Dragon Ball FighterZ. Take a look.

As you can see via the video, a lot of work went into making this a very special machine. The game is shown in high quality, the control scheme mimics classic arcade machines (which totally works as FighterZ as a very simplistic control scheme), and of course, they did some custom artwork to ensure that the cabinet itself looked like a Dragon Ball arcade game cabinet. Well done gentlemen.

Hopefully, news of this will reach Bandai Namco so that an official machine can be created and put in arcades all over the world (mainly in Japan where arcades are still very prominent).

In the meantime though, players can still enjoy all the epicness that the game offers, and then, wait for the arrival of the titles first DLC character via Broly and Bardock who arrive next week. So stay tuned Dragon Ball fans, things are continuing to get good.
