The launch of FIFA 18 hasn’t been without its controversies, particularly surrounding some questionable player ratings and lack of certain online capabilities on the Nintendo Switch version. And now, there is a complaint regarding the game’s Career Mode.
Throughout the FIFA franchise, Career Mode has been a staple of each entry. However, it appears that the latest has a pretty bad bug that causes the mode to crash the game. This, according to players who have reported the issue, have stated that the bug occurs when trying to start a match with newly transferred players in the squad.
Rather than the match loading as it usually would, the game sends an error message to the player before kicking them back to the home screen on Xbox One or PS4, whilst it also sends PC players back to their desktop.
EA has already sent out a patch this week for the game, yet many players are still reporting the issue to the developer and publisher’s support forum. There has been no indication so far as to when they will be fixing the error, though given the seriousness of it, it’s bound to be over the next few days.
FIFA 18 is now available on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
