The holiday season is here, and within the next few weeks, several major holidays will be celebrated, and we’re all grateful for this time of year. When it comes to video games, the developers often take this time of year to celebrate the fun of games by putting in special treats, items, or modes to show their love of the season. And it’s no different with the team from Epic Games, for they have put a holiday twist on their game Fortnite. For now, it’s not just about surviving the zombie apocalypse, it’s about you trying to “Survive The Holidays”.
Naturally, the aesthetics of the game have been changed to fulfill the wintery style. Including the battlefield now being a cold and snowy wonderland. What’s more, the creatures you fight in the game now how holiday gear on, including some of them being dressed as Santa Claus. But wait! There’s more!

Even the weapons you can get and use in this new winter update are holiday themed, including exploding presents…because why not? There’s even a Snowball Grenade Launcher, because every kid on Earth would want to use that. Also, your crew in the battle will be decked out for the winter weather, so you’ll look warm while dishing out cold justice on your enemies.
So, as you can see, Fortnite is more than happy getting into the holiday season, and though the Survive The Holidays event will only be on for a short time, that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with it. I mean come on…who doesn’t want to kill holiday monsters?
