Google Stadia is one of those ideas that looks amazing on paper. But, in practice, it doesn’t work as intended. It launched with a lot of features missing. Then Google closed down its internal studios. That was followed by the departure of many important figures. Basically, everything around Stadia came crashing down. Yet, there’s always someone talking about Stadia’s upcoming games, increased support, and so on.

This time it’s developer marketing lead, Nate Ahearn. In an interview with GamesIndustry, Nate sad Stadia is still alive, doing well, and there are more than 100 new games on the way. They’re growing their Stadia Makers program and partnering with various AAA studios like Ubisoft, EA, Square Enix, and so on to bring blockbuster titles to the platform.

Resident Evil 7 and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order came to Stadia’s Pro subscription. New features are also implemented regularly, with the latest one being a search bar, something that should have been there from the start.
