Injustice 2 Faces Backlash From Aquaman Nerf

When Injustice 2 released, we saw the rise of one particular character from the very depths, making his way up the ranks to a degree of popularity amongst the playerbase. This is mainly down to Aquaman’s abilities, which allow him to be effective at close range whilst also being able to zone and not give others much opportunity to get a hit in.

This of course makes him an all round balanced character to play as, which unfortunately is about to be toned down by the game’s developers, who intend to introduce a nerf to apparently address some of the character’s issues. This hasn’t sat well with many fans of Aquaman in Injustice 2, leading to a petition being started by Brandon Hogan, who believes that theses changes are unreasonable and unfair:

“Aquaman’s entire game plan and practicality has been destroyed, the combination of all his changes is unreasonable. Many of the game’s most talented players have already dropped him. It is extremely unfair to the players who have dedicated hours upon hours to learning a now defunct character. These issues could be easily fixed with stronger communication between the playerbase and the developers.”

You can find the petition here. Injustice 2 is now available on PS4 and Xbox One. A PC release of the game has yet to be announced.
