Jurassic World Evolution Revealed At Pre-Gamescom Event

It has been far too long since we had a game like Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, which allowed players recreate Jurassic Park whilst making sure the guests aren’t dinner to the prehistoric creatures who inhabit it. That game released back in 2003, and now it appears that a game of a very similar nature will be coming out next year, following the announcement of Jurassic World Evolution.

Announced at Microsoft’s pre-Gamescom livestream event, the game will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC next Summer, to coincide with the release of the new movie, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Though many details have yet to be revealed, we do know that it will be developed by Frontier Developments, the team responsible for space simulator Elite Dangerous, as well as the Planet Coaster series. The blurb for the game states that players will be “in control of operations on the legendary island of Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands of the Muertes Archipelago.”

In Jurassic World Evolution, players will have the ability to “build their own Jurassic World as they bioengineer new dinosaur breeds and construct attractions, containment and research facilities. Every choice leads to a different path and spectacular challenges arise when ‘life finds a way’”
