PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Hit With Negative Reviews on Steam

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has enjoyed a meteoric rise to popularity as of late. Recently, PUBG celebrated reaching over 1.5 million concurrent users, as well as the developers forming their own company with PUBG Corp. Despite the dizzying heights that it has reached so far, it has hit a wall somewhat on the game’s Steam page.

Things don’t seem to be going well at the moment, as the game was hit with nearly 20,000 negative reviews in a single day. This has stemmed from Chinese players who have been suffering from lag issues, primarily caused by the game’s third party advertisements. This has forced players in this region to join either European or North American servers, despite the game offering localized game servers. At certain moments for these players, PUBG has been so bad to the point that it has become unplayable.

There has yet to be an official statement from the company and the game’s developers. It is bound to prompt a response at some point, as many Chinese players have raised the issue on a number of forum platforms across the internet. As a consequence, many angry players have posted negative reviews on the PUBG Steam page. Hopefully this will be resolved at some point soon, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will get back to its positive rise to fame.
