Atari had already said in June that they would eventually return to the market with a new console. They were once giants in the field, so the expectations are high. As revealed by the company’s latest newsletter, all this is the reality, as the Ataribox is indeed heading our way.
This is the first console to be linked to Atari’s name after 20 years and we are excited, to say the least. Not much was revealed about the console itself but the newsletter informed us that the machine comes with HDMI, SD and USB ports. They also stated that both old and new games will arrive on the console, which is certainly something to look out for.
It is currently a mystery whether Atari’s Ataribox will strive to compete with the other latest consoles, or perhaps focus on something completely different.
