The Ascent is getting DLSS and ray-tracing on the Game Pass version which lacks these features for some reason.

In some cases, the Game Pass version of a game works better than the Steam one. In the case of The Ascent, the Steam version has some features the Game Pass version’s missing. How do these things happen? I don’t know, but I know one thing for sure.
The Ascent has some brilliant depictions of cyberpunk environments. The best I’ve ever seen in a game. Flashy, cutting edge, and full of dark yet expressive colors. So it’s a shame Game Pass owners that played The Ascent couldn’t experience those captivating environments with DLSS and ray-tracing turned on.
But, no reason to despair yet. The devs are well aware of these issues and are working on a fix. We don’t know if it’s coming shortly or if this is a bigger problem that’s going to take time. For now, Game Pass owners can only wait until that The Ascent version gets access to DLSS and ray-tracing since the devs didn’t post any updates regarding the issue since.
Have you tried this twin-stick shooter yourself? I heard a lot of good things about it but haven’t played it myself. Let me know what you think about the game in the comments section down below!
