Warner Bros Will Not Profit From Middle-earth: Shadow of War Orc-Slayer DLC

After recent reports claiming that Warner Bros would be profiting from the DLC including late producer Michael Forgey, the publisher has come out to insist that they will not be making money from the sales of the Forthog Orc-Slayer DLC in Middle-earth: Shadow of War.

The Monolith producer sadly passed away from a brain tumor last year at the age of 43. To honor his memory and forever immortalize him, Monolith made the decision to include him the upcoming game. The DLC that he will be a part of initially claimed that $3.50 of the $4.99 DLC would be donated to the Forgey family.

In the small print however, it stated that Warner Bros would only be donated to the Forgey family from the US, with a number of states even being excluded from the list. WB has since offered a rather vague explanation: “Neither Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment nor Monolith Productions will profit from any sales of the Forthog Orc-Slayer DLC regardless of the territory in which that DLC is sold.”

Hopefully this means that all territories’ donations will indeed be honored and go straight to the worthy cause of the Forgey family, regardless of whether or not you are based inside the selected states.
