Deckard Cain Joins Heroes of the Storm

It’s quite a surprise that Blizzard’s own MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, survived for this long. It’s not a very popular title, and MOBA’s in general aren’t as popular as they once were, but still, the game has remained alive for quite some time now, and the latest hero to join the fray is none other than Diablo’s Deckard Cain. It is quite strange to see a man as old as Cain run around the map throwing healing potions at his teammates, but Blizzard manages to incorporate all kinds of characters into Heroes of the Storm and make them work, and they didn’t fail at it this time either.

As you can expect from an old man, Deckard Cain doesn’t possess many movement abilities. He mostly focuses on healing his allies, causing problems for his enemies with slows and roots, and his Heroic Abilities are without a question some of the best ones that exist in the game. The first one is called “Stay awhile and listen” and if you’re a Diablo player, you know just how fast this sends you to sleep. It’s an AoE spell that puts all enemies to sleep if they get caught up in it. His second Heroic Ability is arguably even better than the first one, and it’s called “Lorenado”, which as you can guess, is a tornado formed out of Cain’s many books which travels in a set direction and pushes any enemies that come into contact with it away.

For those of you that never met Deckard Cain in a Diablo game, you can find him in Diablo III, which is Blizzard’s latest addition to the Diablo franchise.
