Cuphead Has Gone Platinum

We certainly had to wait for a long time for Cuphead to finally make its way to Xbox One and PC. Having first been shown at E3 back in 2014, we finally saw Cuphead and his pal Mugman burst onto our gaming screens in a blaze of 1930’s style glory. It has now reached its first sales milestone, having surpassed an impressive one million copies since it launched.

StudioMDHR commented on the milestone recently, discussing how hard the whole experience has been so far: “We have worked tirelessly over the past few years to deliver a game that remained true to our vision and we are both humbled and excited that so many people from around the world are playing Cuphead–it truly makes it all worth it.”

This of course means that Cuphead has now gone platinum, though it hasn’t been revealed which sales accounted for each platform that it is on, only that it has sold that many in total. The platformer has been both praised and criticized for its immense difficulty, so if that is the kind of game that you are looking for, then you need look no further than this run-and-gun platformer that will have you captivated and frustrated the entire time.

Cuphead is now available on Xbox One and PC.
