Yes, a new BioShock title is currently in development and no, unfortunately we won’t be getting the new game anytime soon.

Big props to GamesRadar to for finding out that we’re getting a brand new BioShock game. This shooter franchise is a most-beloved one thanks to its weird characters, compelling narratives, and ecstatically weird environments and visual themes. The last game of the franchise, BioShock Infinite came out almost 6 years ago. Sadly, the new one won’t be coming anytime soon, so more waiting for us. However, that doesn’t mean a thing if we’re getting another thrilling addition. Judging from the GamesRadar interview, the game is in good hands.
Even though Ken Levine, the guy that conceptualized and created BioShock and BioShock Infinite with his team, isn’t working on the new BioShock game, a lot of other talented people are. Hoagy de la Plante, Scott Sinclair, and Jonathan Pelling all worked on the previous BioShock titles and they are joined by industry veterans that worked on cult-classic franchises such as Star Wars, Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, and so on. Strange environments, exceptionally created stories and characters, and fun shooting will all be featured in this new game.
