Ever since Epic Games added the Battle Royale feature to their game Fortnite, it’s been a whole new ball game. But give them credit, they’ve stepped up to the plate in a big way to ensure that the new version of the game is full of content both standard and updated. Epic Games has had a lot of updates since the game’s release, and now, another massive patch has come just in time for the Chinese New Year, and it’s got a lot inside. Don’t believe us? Here’s what Epic had to say about it:
“Valentine’s day is a time for love, loot and llamas! Patch v.2.5.0 introduces a new grenade, Shrines, weapon balance and bug fixes drop into Battle Royale. Save the World introduces Spring it On!, adding a new Valentine’s Questline, Lunar New Year Heroes and … Dragon Weapons!”
And that’s just scratching the surface of what’s inside. For example, this new Fortnite update brings the Impulse Grenade, which is incredibly powerful.
Then, there are the inclusions of Shrines, which are hidden in the map itself, and if you find it, you might just be able to find some cool treasure. And then, there are some new outfits for your character to wear, perfectly stylized for the Chinese New Year. Which goes the same for the weapons themselves.
However, some of the biggest changes to the game come from the actual update part of the patch. Both the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Fortnite are getting Dynamic Resolution, which will help with framerate. There’s also been a whole host of bug fixes across the various platforms.
But, if you’re looking for a new event to do, the “Spring it on!” event has just gone live in “Save the world!”. There’s new quests, new stories, new weapons, and more to get.
