Just when you thought that it was safe in the world, just when you thought that your team had conquered every obstacle put in front of you, just when you believed that there was nothing your team couldn’t handle if they were united…Ubisoft just went and said…”Nope!” For today, Ubisoft has revealed that there’s about to be a big entrance in the world of Ghost Recon Wildlands, one that isn’t from our world at all, but is more than happy to hunt all on our world. And its name…is The Predator.
Yes, the iconic and legendary alien from the Predator films is coming to Ghost Recon Wildlands via The Hunt event, which is actually going to arrive tomorrow believe it or not. Though we only have a teaser trailer, it’s not hard to extrapolate what is going to be happening here. Your team of four will be going up against The Predator to see who will survive. Or more accurately, who WON’T survive.
The teaser above perfectly sets the stage for the showdown, including having it be in a forest area (a callback to the original movie), the traps that ensnare them, the growl of The Predator being heard, and of course, the legendary “vision” of the Predator that shows the Ghost Recon skull in technicolor. It’s a cool thing.
If you somehow don’t know The Predator, it’s a being from a race of literal hunters, whose sole purpose is to prove that they can hunt and kill anything, which over the course of many years and films included numerous humans and even The Alien from the Ripley Scott films (which spawned crossovers we don’t talk about). The Predator has been put in many games since its arrival, including having a spot on the Mortal Kombat roster. And now, it’s going to go up against the Ghost Recon squad. Oh…yeah…
