Sony Decided To Skip E3 2020

Just like in 2019, seems like Sony is passing the opportunity to participate in E3 2020 for some unknown reason.

Everyone’s hyped up about E3. Gamers see that event as a shiny showcase of new and exciting titles. Sony released some extraordinary titles over the last few years. But, they weren’t announced at E3. Because Sony keeps skipping out on E3 and they’re skipping out on E3 2020. A Sony Interactive Entertainment talked to gamesindustry.biz and said:

“We have great respect for the ESA as an organization, but we do not feel the vision of E3 2020 is the right venue for what we are focused on this year. We will build upon our global events strategy in 2020 by participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe.”

So, no E3 but hundreds of consumer events across the globe? Are they taking this approach because of their new PlayStation console? Not a lot of information has been released regarding PlayStation 5.  Maybe they’re avoid the spotlight until they’re ready to share more information about it. Who knows, it’s just a shame that amongst all those new games we won’t see any exciting exclusives from Sony. Let’s just hope they come out with some new announcements sooner rather than later. After Marvel’s Spider-Man, God of War, Uncharted 4 and many others from 2019, we should expect more exhilarating releases in 2020 as well.
