Anyone that wants to play Stalker 2 needs to put together quite a powerful PC as the system requirements are nothing to laugh at.

We’ve waited a lot. A lot of time passed on by while the Stalker series remained silent. No new games, nothing but some minor rumors and projects that always failed. However, this time we have something to look forward to. Have you already watched the Stalker 2 trailer in all its glory? Check it out down below:

Why am I showing you the gameplay trailer? You see, Stalker 2 revealed its system requirements via Steam. Let’s just say that you’re going to need a beefy machine to run this.

Stalker 2 minimum requirements

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X | Intel Core i5-7600K
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
  • Storage: 150GB
  • Additional notes: SSD
  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X | Intel Core i7-9700K
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8GB | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB
  • Storage: 150GB
  • Additional notes: SSD

As you see, even the minimum requirements are demanding. I don’t know about you, but over here a GTX 1060 6GB isn’t cheap, not by a long shot. I have no idea who can even buy a GTX 1080 Ti 11GB these days. Considering everyone’s buying graphics cards for their BitCoin mining operation.

Can your current rig run Stalker 2? Or will you also need to get some new parts to launch this beast of a game?

Can’t tell if all that ray tracing nonsense is breaking gaming right now. GPUs are out of stock, bought by scalpers or by crypto miners, meanwhile devs are making games for ray tracing only seems like they paint themselves in a corner, ray tracing don’t even work all that we’ll unless on super high-end machines. Nothing agents ray tracing there should be flexibility and adjustments in the development most gamers have mid range machines.

Scalpers and crypto miners won’t stop anytime soon so I guess most won’t be able to buy individual PC parts, only entire PCs which is total fucking bullshit but what can you do……
