Youtuber Recreates Overwatch’s Doomfist in Minecraft

A talented YouTuber has recreated Doomfist in Minecraft, presenting a playable version of the latest hero to be addded to the Blizzard shooter Overwatch.

McMakistein, or MrMakistein on Reddit, has made the long awaited Overwatch character in the immensely popular Minecraft, and has told others that it took around a week to create this block-tastic rendition of Doomfist. Over 400 commandblocks, which can execute commands, were required to complete the build, which as he does in Overwatch, fires off at enemies with his Rocket Punch and Hand Cannon techniques. Doomfist isn’t the only character to undergo this treatment by McMakistein, who has made other characters from Overwatch such as Genji, Reaper and Tracer.

Many fans of both Minecraft and Overwatch have indulged in crossing the two games over. There’s the Minewatch project for example, creates character designs and weapons, whilst the Overwatch Illios project used to recreate certain Overwatch maps such as Route 66 and Hanamura, before modders lost contact and it was shut down.
