Current Black Panther Comic Writers Wants Character In A Solo Video Game

There are certain types of video games that are considered “taboo”, and not for no good reason. One of them, is video games based off of movies (which rarely ever go well), and the other, ironically enough, is games based on video game characters. Now, yes, we live in a world with the Batman Arkham games, and certain fighting titles that feature superhero characters, but if you look at the full amount of titles featuring hero and villain characters, the good ones are slim. However, that’s not stopping a writer of Black Panther from wanting a game about him.

Black Panther has been a talking point for months now, and his solo film has been breaking box office records left and right, so now is the perfect time to talk about him getting his own video game. This idea comes from comic writer Evan Narcisse, who is writing the book “Rise Of The Black Panther” for Marvel, he went to Twitter and said:

“Y’all know where to find me when you wanna get cracking on that Black Panther video game…”

The idea isn’t so far-fetched as many may think. The character is very much a human character, just with heightened abilities, it’d be very easy to translate that into a video game without having to go crazy with gameplay mechanics. In fact, if they used the Batman Arkham games free-flow combat, they could easily do something really cool with him. Plus, the movie showed many characters that could be used in the video game, like Nakia, Shuri, Okoye, Klaue, and more.

But, the best part is that many studios have tweeted in reply saying they’re game for this. Including someone from Ubisoft and Certain Affinity.

Now, Black Panther has been in video games before, he’s been in multiple Marvel MMORPGs, and made his fighting game debut in Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite. But, will he get his own solo game? We’d be interested in it if it does happen.
