Mount Equipment Coming To WoW

Patch 8.2 patch, called Rise of Azshara, is bringing mount equipment to WoW which let you do all kinds of crazy things.

WoW

It seems that players are most excited for this mount equipment because it allows you to do something which you couldn’t before. Equip the “Inflatable Mount Shoes” on your mount and it will be able to walk on water with no issues. That’s understandable, since the world of WoW is quite big, and sometimes you have to swim from one place to another, which is a lenghty and tiresome process that most players don’t like.

Of course, those that had the Water Strider pet didn’t have problems like these, since that mount could actually walk on water on its own. But, patch 8.2 is removing that ability from the Water Strider completely. Now, other equipment that you can put on your mounts includes the Saddlechut which deploys a parachute when you get dismounted in the middle of a fall, and the Comfortable Rider’s Barding which gives you immunity to being dazed while you’re mounted.

So, how does this equipment work exactly? Well, you have to hit level 100 with at least one character, then it gets unlocked for all of your characters starting from level 20. They explained it like this:

Hitting level 100 on one character will unlock this system. Once unlocked, the system will be available to all characters, and the equipment pieces themselves will require level 20. If your goal is to have waterwalking while leveling, you can just enable the waterwalking Mount Equipment (there will be one available via Anglers reputation that will be bind-on-account), and it’ll work exactly as before, with the benefit of making all of that character’s mounts walk on water.

There’s also a new flying mount called the Mechanical Parrot that is unlocked by finishing Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part Two, the Mechagon Wheel Mount that you get when you complete the Mechagon Meta Achievement, and there are two new PvP mounts.
