Apex Legends partnered up with the Love, Death and Robots animator to introduce us to Seer in their atmospheric new cinematic.
If you thought Respawn spends all of its time fighting the bloody war against hackers, think again. New content is another important part of Apex Legends they don’t ignore, unlike the Titanfall hacker issues that two of their workers are trying to fix.
Yet, I won’t bother you with that too much. After all, there’s a grimdark new cinematic we have to talk about! Go and watch it below for yourself before we get into the style of Apex Legend’s newest character:
Did you watch Love, Death and Robots? If the answer is yes, you’re probably in love with this cinematic. It has all the rough and rugged obscure art style that many episodes of that show feature as well. It’s all thanks to Love, Death and Robots animator Robert Valley.
So, now that Apex Legends introduced us to Seer, what exactly is he? Well, he was born the moment a mysterious asteroid hit the moon of some planet. He’s a “cursed child” with unnatural eyes whose gaze “can turn a mountain to dust, a king to a beggar and an ocean to a desert”, which sounds cool as heck.
We don’t know much about him other than he has an amazing fashion sense, a cool hat, and the ability to control microdrones. Also, his “artist’s eye” lets Seer pinpoint and seize opportunities other Legends might not see.
